John is a human resources consultant/generalist with demonstrated competence in working as a business partner to design and implement strategic business solutions that enhance overall business performance. His expertise’s are in recruitment & selection, learning & development, compensation & benefits advisory services, organizational development & manpower planning, performance management and HRIS & Strategy.
John is a graduate of Personnel Management from Middlesex University, UK. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from South Bank University Business School London, UK. In addition, he is a Chartered Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, (CIPD) UK and a Full Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, (MCIPM).
He has over 33 years HR/Top management experience gained both within the private and public sector in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. His experience spanned across Banking, Shipping & Maritime, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Human Resources Consulting & IT Solutions and Security.
He joined the Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited (A Subsidiary of Sterling Bank Plc.) in August 2007 as the Head of Human Resources, Admin & Corporate Affairs and later moved to Assent Communications Nigeria Limited as a General Manager (GM), Human Resources & Recruitment and subsequently resigned voluntarily in 2010. He later joined the Pyramid Consulting Group in August 2010 as a Managing Partner where he served in various levels and as a management consultant on HRIS/ERP service solutions providers to companies and public sectors of the Nigerian economy.
In November 2012, he co-established SARF Guards Limited along with other notable Nigerians and was subsequently appointed as the pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. As part of his responsibilities, he facilitated the growth and profitability of the company. He also provided executive and strategic directions on various business models, development and organizational projects through innovative policy formulation and synergies. As a leader, he introduces new initiatives and adopts progressive ideas to ensure the smooth running of the company’s operations nationwide.
On the 13th of June, 2016, John was appointed as the Sole Administrator of Bariga LCDA. In addition, he was also appointed as the line Manager of all the Sole Administrators in Lagos State known as Chairman Conference – 57 by the Governor of Lagos State (H.E.) Mr Akinwunmi Ambode.
As the Sole Administrator of Bariga LCDA and also as the line Manager of all the SOLADS in Lagos State, his duties & responsibilities cut across Lagos State and reporting to both the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government & Community Affairs as well as the Governor of Lagos State on a monthly basis. He stepped down as a Sole Administrator on 24th of July 2017 after handing over to a duly elected Chairman of the Bariga LCDA as required by law and as directed by the Governor of Lagos state.
The Board of Directors of Sarf Guards Limited invited and unanimously appointed him as an Executive Chairman of the Board on the 28 of August, 2017 effective from September 1st 2017 and he has since resumed at their Corporate headquarter Lagos.
Executive Director, Operations & Human Resources .
Lt. Col. Johnson Awoniyi is a retired military officer, who served in many capacities in the core areas such as training, instructional, logistics and command that spanned twenty-eight years in various formations of the Nigerian Army.
He has obtained the relevant certificates in security management & operation from the University of Lagos. In addition, he has attended various local and international courses in order to keep abreast of complex changing trends in security operations and management in our contemporary world. Presently, he is undergoing a specialist course in industrial and corporate security in University of Lagos. He is also a member of Institute of Security of Nigeria (MISN). Lt Col.
Johnson Awoniyi obtained Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies (MIR&SS) from the Lagos State University LASU.
On his retirement from the Nigerian Military service in December 2008, he joined Highdef Control, a limited liability security company based in Port Harcourt with branches spread across Nigeria. He was the Western Operation’s Manager overseeing all the company’s businesses and operational activities in Lagos and its environs.
He later resigned voluntarily from the company in order to establish SARF Guards Limited in conjunction with other notable and professional Nigerians in 2012. He was appointed as the pioneer Executive Director, Operations & Human Resources with responsibilities covering the overall strategic and operational lead as well as planning training programs, logistics, HR and manpower planning needs of both the Company and its potentials corporate clients spread across Nigeria.
Ore is an astute industrialist, a philanthropist and an entrepreneur with a demonstrable track record in the United Kingdom (UK) and Nigeria in the last two decades. He has served in several other private and voluntary organisations in the UK.
Prior to joining the Board of Sarf Guards Limited (SGL) as a Director on the 5th of May 2014, he has established Feofist International Limited and was its pioneer MD/CEO. His area of business interest spanned across various sectors of the economy; ranging from Hospitality & Tourism, Transport & Shipping as well as trading in Commodity products and supplies to the UK, European Markets and the Caribbean Island.
Ore is committed and he is bringing to the board his wealth of experience and international goodwill in order to support SGL and its management going forward. He is happily married with Children.
Olutunji Charles Diyaolu holds a B.Sc. (Hon) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos and an MBA Operations Research from the University of Benin. In addition, Tunji is a Chartered Engineer and a Corporate Member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) with a track record of service to the Nigerian Society of Engineers in the Warri branch where he served variously as Assistant Publicity Secretary, Treasurer and Technical Secretary in a concerted effort to reinvigorate the branch by the turn of the millennium. In recognition of these contributions to his profession, in the year 2000, the Warri branch of the Nigeria Society of Engineers awarded him the Institutes Merit award in furtherance and development of the engineering profession in Nigeria.
He joined the Shell group in 1987 and has worked in various technical, non-technical and managerial capacities having served in Shell for over 27 years in various roles ranging from Production Operations including Terminal and Tanker off-take Operations, Project Commissioning, Hydrocarbon Accounting, Operational Readiness Planning, Production Information Technology & Portfolio Management. SAP Plant Maintenance (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Strategic Business Planning.
He has attended many technical and management courses both in Nigeria and abroad and He is a certified competent person in all surface operations of Oil and gas production in Shell. He was also subject matter expert (SME) in SAP Plant Maintenance for Shell Nigeria.
He retired from Shell as Head of Maintenance Strategy and Business Planning for Shell Companies in Nigeria in 2014. He was Chief Operating Officer for Allwayz Resources Nigeria Limited, an Engineering and Maintenance Consultancy from 2014 -2016 before assuming the role of Managing Director/CEO of SARF Guards Ltd with the principal responsibility of piloting the company through its growth phase into full maturity as a private security guarding company.
He resigned his appointment as the MD/CEO of Sarf Guards Limited at the 8th AGM held on the 28th April, 2022.
Augustine Sylvester is a mechanical engineer and an Information Technology (IT) electronic and security network specialist. Austin is a graduate of mechanical engineering from South Bank University, London, United Kingdom. (UK)
He started his professional career as a field Support Engineer with Dell Corporations Plc, in the United Kingdom, (UK). He had over 16 years IT/Security Network experience gained in various multinational companies in the UK amongst which are; Diageo Plc, Fujitsu Corporation, Rail Track Plc, and Unilever UK to mention but a few. He is also a Cisco Certified Designer and Support Engineer as well as a Microsoft and Novell professional. In addition, he also obtained a level 2 City and Guilds Certificate in both Electronic Security and Emergency Fire Detection Systems (EFDS) and Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV).
Prior to now, Austin has attended many and variety of middle and senior levels IT and Security Network related courses in the UK, Asia and in South Africa. After careful analysis and consideration, he decided to join Sarf Guards Limited as a Director in August 2013. He is passionate and committed to bringing his technical and network expertise in order to support the overall strategic IT network/Electronic Security and Emergency Systems of our Company and its services to our numerous clients. He is happily married with Children.
Prince Olaseni Kosoko is a Chartered Architect with 2 decades of experience in the Consultancy/ Construction industry. He is a 1983 graduate of the Lagos State College of Science and Technology (Now Lagos State Polytechnic)
He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Management and MBA from Ambrose Alli University. He has acquired a wide experience working for such consulting firms as Comprehensive Design Associates, International Consulting Architects, Benson Partnership before joining the service of the Lagos State Ministry of works.
He was part of the design team of many Government and Private projects while in the employment of private firms. He was also part of the design team in the Government and played active supervisory roles in the design and construction of public buildings.
Has to his credit a number of public and private Building projects, he returned from the Service of Lagos State Government before joining SARF as a Director, he is married with children. His hobbies are cycling, traveling, reading, and meeting people.
Also a member of the Lagos Country Club.
KEY MANAGEMENT STAFF
Head, Accounts/General Services
Emmanuel is an HND holder in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos. He started his career in 2017 as a Store/Impress Officer in Industrial Water Treatment Plant in Ogun State. Thereafter, he joined Tantalizer Plc as an Accounts Officer in 2018 where he was redeployed to the position of a Store/Facility Manager in January 2019.
In February 2019, he Joined Sarf Guards Limited as an Accounts and Admin Officer of the Company at its Headquarter in Lagos and later moved to Eating Nigeria Foods Limited in May 2021 as an Accountant.
He was re-engaged as the Head of Account by Sarf Guards Limited in May 2022.
He is happily married with a lovely daughter.
Area Manager Operations
Korede started his Security Guarding career in 2001 at the Oyo State Taskforce on Environmental Sanitation as a Senior Security Supervisor till 2003. He has also worked at various levels in other private Security Companies on Security related activities in Oyo State.
Korede later joined Halogen Security Limited and Prudential Guards Limited between 2003 and 2006 as a Security Officer. In 2006, he was in charge of Eco Bank security operations in Lagos. In 2008, he was re-assigned to Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited, a subsidiary of Sterling Bank Plc, and thereafter posted to the Sterling Bank Plc Head Office and was saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the smooth-running of Prudential Guards’ Operations in Sterling Towers, Marina Lagos.
Due to his remarkable performance and dedication to duty while serving at Eco Bank Plc, he was engaged directly by Eco Bank management as a Unit Security Supervisor.
In 2013, Korede was headhunted as a pioneer CSO along with other key players of Sarf Guards Limited SGL in order to commence its operation. This decision was based on his good track record and immeasurable knowledge & experience gained over the years within the industry. His ability and capacity in the field of recruiting, managing, coordinating, training, and controlling security operatives/guard’s operations and activities gained over the years were the contributory factors to his invitation to join SGL at inception.
As the CSO of the company, he is saddled with overseeing the efficiency and smooth running of the entire security architecture and operations and reporting to the Director of Operations.
Mobile Patrol/Logistics Supervisor
Nafiu is an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) holder in Business Administration and Management from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Kwara State. He started his career as an Office Assistant/Secretary in Sparta Contractors Nigeria Limited in 2014. He was redeployed in Sparta Contractors Nigeria Limited in year 2016 to the position of a Stock Record Keeper.
Over the years, Nafiu has been privileged to work in some organizations which are Life-Flow Waters as a Logistics Officer in the year 2017 and Rio Fabric Enterprises as a Store Record Keeper in the year 2018.
He joined Sarf Guards Limited in April 2019 as an Industrial Trainee.
He has since served in various departments such as Store, Operations, Human Resources, Accounts, and Logistics department. He was fully employed and staffed by Sarf Guards Limited in the year 2020 as a Logistics Officer.
He was promoted in the year 2021 to Operation Department to act as an Assistant Patrol/ Logistics Officer.
Due to his sound performance, dedication to work, and sincerity, Nafiu was promoted from Assistant Patrol/Logistics Officer to Mobile Patrol/Logistics Supervisor in January 2022.
In 2022, he was appointed to handle the more challenging responsibility of overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of guards in 3 geographical zones/areas of Lagos operations in the company.
Nafiu is a devout Muslim and is happily married with children.
KEY MANAGEMENT STAFF
Record & Store Officer
Mbet is an Office Administrator with over 8 years’ experience in the Security Industry. She had her secondary education in Akwa Ibom State and she has also attended various in- house training courses within the industry both in Akwa Ibom State and in Lagos State respectively.
She started her career as a Librarian and keeper in Hopscotch Nursery and Primary School in the year
2007 and was later redeployed to work as a Crèche babies attendant in the same school.
In the year 2016, She joined Sarf Guards Limited as an Administrative Assistant and was later promoted
to her current position as a Records & Store Officer of the Company in 2020.
Yinka is a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree holder in Microbiology from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. She did her national (NYSC) service in Cross-River State, Boki West, Okundi Local Government Area, where she worked as a Basic Science teacher in Excellence Comprehensive School, Okundi.
During her NYSC service year, she acquired on a Part-time basis some Human Resources Management (HRM) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Level 1 & Level II Certifications in 2020.
In 2021, She started her career as a Personal Assistant in Nigeria Gas Marketing Company (NGMC), Egbin in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and thereafter joined Sarf Guards Limited in March 2022 as a Secretary/Admin Officer.
